More than the Full Moon Party

Koh Phangan is best known for the Full Moon Party on Haad Rin Beach, but it is not the only party on the island. Around the full moon week there are parties in the jungle, on other beaches and in secret spots, from EDM to psy-trance and house.

Half Moon Festival

A jungle festival held twice a month, about a week before and a week after the Full Moon Party, in the forest near Ban Tai village. International DJs play on several stages: the main floor with UV jungle lights, fire and fluorescent decorations, a techno floor by the river in the bamboo forest, and a hip hop and R&B floor. The festival opens at 20:00 and closes after sunrise.

Black Moon Culture

For lovers of psy-trance and techno. The Black Moon Party is held once a month on Ban Tai Beach, around the new moon. The dance floor is right on the beach with psychedelic glow-in-the-dark decorations, and with no moonlight the sky is full of stars. Stay all night and you will see the sunrise over the sea. There is a big bar and plenty of street food.

OXA Beach

A beach club on a secluded beach of Koh Phangan with lounge areas, a bar and kitchen, a dance floor and a stage. Once a week the tropical beach garden becomes a party with DJs from Ibiza, Berlin and beyond, from dusk to dawn.

Cult Festival

A party deep in the Ban Tai jungle with great lighting and a quality sound system. DJs from all over the world play all night during the full moon week, with live music, shows, several bars and a kitchen. Music: organic and melodic house, deep tech, afro house, progressive, tech house and techno.
