The Full Moon Party takes place once a month on Haad Rin beach, Koh Phangan, on or near the full moon night, plus a New Year party on 31 December. It starts at dark, about 7 pm, and goes on until sunrise. Every date for 2026 and 2027 is below.

Why the date is not always on the full moon
The party follows the lunar month of about 29.5 days, so it moves through the calendar and comes 12 or 13 times a year. Most parties are on the full moon night itself or a day next to it.
When the full moon falls on a Buddhist holiday such as Makha Bucha, Visakha Bucha, Asalha Bucha or the start and end of Buddhist Lent, alcohol sales are not allowed in Thailand, so the party moves by a day or so. The dates on this page already include these changes.
The New Year Countdown Party on 31 December is a separate party with up to 40,000 people, so in some years December has two parties on Haad Rin.
